*Additionally, CAJ is recognized and approved by many agencies to qualify our graduating students for national, state, or industry exams in their field of training: California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants (CCMA), the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), and the Board of Vocational Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).

Description

Admission Requirements:
Minimum CASAS Scores Required: Reading 248 and Math 236
High School Graduate/High School Equivalency
Proof of at least 200 hours providing nursing care under a licensed professional within 2 years of the program starting
Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License at time of enrollment and throughout the entire program
Pass all prerequisite courses (Math for Medications, Medical Terminology, and Anatomy & Physiology)
CPR/First Aid Certification
Nursing Entrance Exam (Kaplan, C-Net, HESI, or TEAS)
Must pass a drug and criminal background check
Health clearance by physical exam
Negative TB test (2 step) or Chest X-ray required before entering program

Potential Salary: $58,000 – $97,000
Program Cost (scholarships available): $25,100 plus books and materials
