Description
The Legal Assistant Program prepares students for an entry-level position assisting a supervising attorney in providing legal services to clients. The associate degree prepares students as a professional legal assistant. The certificate is available to those who already possess an associate degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution. The program is approved by the American Bar Association, therefore, graduates with the 30 units of specialized study qualify as legal assistant under the California Business and Professional Code. Students are provided opportunities to participate in supervised work experience in law firms or public agencies
