Certified Nurse AssistantJob Certificate Program Detail Page

Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA) provide direct care to patients as a member of the nursing team working in skilled and extended care facilities. Basic nursing skills include activities such as feeding, bathing, range of motion exercises, and specimen collection. The CNA observes and records patients' condition, vital signs, input and output, and reports findings to the other team members. Upon successful completion of the certificate program, students are qualified to take the California State Examination for Certification required for employment.
