Elementary, basic skills, and secondary courses required for a high school diploma or GED® or HiSET®. Adult education classes are offered at
NO COST in the mornings and evenings. Most schools offer online, in-person, or hybrid instruction.
The High School Diploma Program is for adults earning credits toward a high school diploma. Students will receive a high school diploma
upon completing credit requirements, which vary by the school district. Each district holds graduation ceremonies for all diploma recipients.
The High School Equivalency Preparation Program is for adults preparing to take the GED® or HiSET® equivalency tests.
Preparation classes will help you develop the skills and confidence to pass the California state-recognized tests.
Students successfully passing the series of tests will receive a credential from the California Department of Education.
Each district holds graduation ceremonies for all test completers.
