Description
The gerontology program provides students with specialized training for employment in businesses and agencies that provide services for the elderly, and/or preparation for transfer to a four-year university for advanced education. Students obtain foundational knowledge and skills in the biological, physiological, psychological, and sociological factors involved in aging. Employment opportunities are available for graduates within a variety of careers to better serve and care for the aging population.
