An associate degree in Family and Consumer Science is designed to provide a broad program of study for students interested in careers related to child development, early childhood education, family studies, fashion, food preparation, instructional assisting, interior design gerontology, life management or nutrition. By careful selection of required and elective courses, students are able to develop a broad major leading to many careers in the industries described or for transfer to a four-year institution for advanced study.
