Description
The Dental Department at Sacramento City College comprises two programs: Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene. Both programs require a full-time commitment to complete. The Dental Assisting program is 11 months in length for the certificate, but offers the opportunity to continue further to obtain an associate degree. The Dental Hygiene program is a fully=accredited two-year associate degree. Both Dental Hygiene and Dental Assisting students work in the dental clinic where they provide supervised preventative and therapeutic treatment to patients. Program graduates are eligible to take both state and national licensure examinations.
